​This introductory course will introduce student to the exciting field of aviation.  This takes a broad look at many facets of aviation; history, principles of flight, aircraft & systems, weather, space & rocketry, airports and navigation.  This course incorporates digital as well as hands-on resources, optional airport tours and activities to take a deeper look at aviation and the possible careers in the field.  As the course progresses, students will also receive preparation toward becoming pilots of their own aircraft, studying fundamentals of flight, airplane systems, aerodynamic principles, aircraft design, the flight environment, weather, physiology, aircraft performance, navigation, and decision making.  In addition, this course will also provide a link to the Aviation courses offered by Vero Beach High School.
